Position Summary:

Compile, analyze and evaluate statistical procurement data. Manage complex purchase requests, quotes, bids and proposals. Establish price objectives in accordance with budgeted / proposed item costs. Complete periodic spend analysis and identify savings opportunities.  Capitalize on cost savings opportunities and document efforts. Participate in strategic sourcing initiatives and monitor field compliance.  Participate in and lead cross-functional teams while working closely with suppliers to achieve superior levels of performance in quality, cost management, and service across multiple sites. Collaborate with key regional suppliers.  Generate purchase orders from requisitions using JDE.
 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Supply Chain or related field or equivalent experience
  • 2 - 5 years of progressively responsible procurement or management experience
  • Mining, manufacturing, construction or engineering experience
  • Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects
  • Experience in sourcing and contracting for equipment and services
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Possess strong presentation skills
  • Proof of cost reduction and productivity improvements in a multi-plant environment
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
