Position Summary:
Responsible for the design, development and ongoing expansion of the Data Warehouse. The Data Warehouse Architect will: conduct business interviews as needed and help develop/update the BI strategy and roadmap; review current hardware/software, identify gaps and support development of a solution life cycle strategy. In addition, develop the Enterprise Data Warehouse Architecture document and ETL standards documents. Develop Logical and Physical Data Models. Design the Enterprise Data Warehouse and appropriate Data Marts. Develop detailed documentation and ensure ongoing business process changes are easily integrated into the Data Warehouse. Develop a strong understanding of source systems, reporting, analytic and other information needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree with at least eight years of IS experience. Most recent experience must be Data Warehouse focused with at least five years of hands on experience in Data Warehouse architecture
- Formal Training in Data Modeling (3NF and Star Schema) preferred
- Proven experience in designing complete Data Warehousing solutions
- Hardware / Software evaluation experience
- Demonstrable experience in Dashboards, KPI, Scorecards, Operational and Business Intelligence
- Multiple full lifecycle implementation experience
- Strong knowledge of Finance, Sales, Inventory, Payroll and other subject areas.
- Expert level skills in Erwin, Logical /Physical Data Modeling, Oracle or equivalent databases
- Expertise in common visualization, enterprise reporting and ETL tools preferred
- Experience sourcing data from ERP solutions, particularly JD Edwards desired
- Experience with Oracle's GoldenGate a plus
- Prior experience with Big Data and/or Predictive Analytics preferred
