Job Summary

Primary responsibilities involve preparing and reviewing income tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740, including deferred tax calculations and uncertain tax liabilities; preparing tax basis balance sheets; supporting research of tax compliance and planning matters; assisting in analysis of proper income tax accounting methods; providing support for tax planning and income tax audits.  Additional responsibilities include:  utilizing and updating master files for available tax software; compiling required data, performing required calculations and completing work papers; maintaining monthly tax account reconciliations; preparing financial statement footnote disclosures; providing support for income tax compliance; identifying tax issues for referral to senior tax management; compiling data to support audit response and requests for information from taxing authorities; expanding knowledge of tax laws, regulations, court decisions, proposed changes and other current tax issues; other projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/ Finance or other related field or equivalent experience required
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • Big 4 experience preferred
  • 4–6 years tax experience in corporate or public accounting environment
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with tax compliance and provision software and related ERP such as JDE
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
