Position summary:

Responsible for managing staff during assigned audit jobs and other projects as directed by the Vice President of Internal Audit.  Assist in planning, organizing and managing internal audit work.  Assist in coordinating the development of the internal audit plan, consistent with stated objectives.  Ensure that detailed audit work is effectively focused on areas assessed as high risk, thus ensuring maximum payback from the assignment.  Ensure that solutions are clearly presented to and agreed to by management and that a subsequent audit report is issued promptly.  Stay current of best practices both internally and externally and provide conduit for introducing those practices to the company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a business related field
  • 6+ years of audit experience
  • 3 or more years’ experience leading and managing a team
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE or CMA required
  • Managerial experience; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP/GAAS and the IIA's standards
  • Ability to use CAAT techniques (ACL preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with people at all levels of the organization and facilitate the implementation of corrective action
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Domestic travel required (up to 15%)
