Job Responsibilities
- SAFETY must be the first priority
- Lead rail yards with the highest degree of safety and environmental responsibility
- Manage rail distribution process of aggregates shipped, along with asphalt production and customer load out to quarries
- Provide strong leadership, training, team building, and supervision with an emphasis on employee development
- Manage all safety, environmental, operational, financial, personnel, and community relations duties at the yard, in accordance with company programs, policies, and guidelines as well as government agencies
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Construction, or related field, or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 2+ years of maintenance, operations and supervisory experience in rail yard distribution/marine terminal
- Prior rail distribution, material handling, and asphalt production experience
- Ability to lead and develop hourly workforce to create teamwork and drive a safe productive work environment
- Experience planning and scheduling multiple locations for safety, training, operations and production activities
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills; proven track record for creating employee ownership of safety, production, and quality
- Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; good planning skills
- Sound understanding of company, local, state and federal rules and regulations
- Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to perform incidental duties as assigned and required
- Locations responsibilities- Tampa Marine, Port Manatee (Marine Terminals) and Mulberry, Loughman(Rail Facilities)
