Position Summary 

This position is for a techno/functional employee with primary responsibility for the Command Series line of products in the Ready Mix line of business. Responsibilities include software installation, configuration and maintenance as required to support the application/database environment, including working with vendors regarding configuration, upgrades and patches. Must be able to perform database tasks such as creating/executing SQL statements and stored procedures, creating database user accounts, and evaluating promoted code changes and its impact on database resources. Must monitor and manage the application environment, maintain application/database security, and perform configuration management administrative activities for the products as needed. Must be able to identify and resolve root causes of issues. Must be able to communicate to a variety of audiences at different business/technical levels. Provides tier-3 support to internal and external customers. After-hours support is required. 

Will participate in project teams as a technical advisor to provide software and/or hardware information, guidelines and best practices. Must be able to work with customers to understand and document their business requirements. Must have an understanding of application and database architecture and be able to provide information during project analysis. Will contribute to Disaster Recovery planning and yearly testing.

Requirements 

  • B.A. or B.S. in Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working with Command Alkon suite of products required
  • Experience working in the Ready Mix industry required
  • 4-6 years of application administration experience or equivalent with emphasis on Ready Mix software
  • Experience with database architecture and performance monitoring in Oracle and/or SQL Server environment preferred
  • Ability to work in UNIX and/or Windows environments a plus
