Position Summary:

The Accounts Payable department services a multi-location purchasing base with over 300 locations and an estimated annual invoice volume of 400,000 invoices.  Responsibilities of this position include all the day-to-day functions of accounts payable with a hands-on approach to problem solving and process improvements. The Assistant A/P Manager will direct, mentor and evaluate a team of approximately ten associates.  Responsibilities of this position include managing the company’s purchasing card program; preparing journal entries and month end accruals; reconciling various G/L accounts; and issuing 1099/1042’s annually.    

Requirements:

  • Five or more years’ experience in accounts payable; manufacturing experience preferred
  • Five or more years’ experience leading, managing and developing a team required
  • 1099/1042 experience required
  • Experience managing a purchasing card program
  • Outstanding communication skills both oral and written
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient computer skills required; advanced excel skills preferred
