Position Summary:

Responsible for partnering with HR managers and directors and their customers to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities. Builds project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintains a systems orientation and can work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning. This position also serves as a technical point-of-contact for JDE Edwards and along with Business Systems Support and Information Services, assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The senior HRIS analyst also supports systems upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as needed. Perform other related HR responsibilities as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Acts as main contact for HRIS issues. Performs system maintenance, including the following tasks: assist in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS system upgrades or patches. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrades or fixes. Maintains HRIS system tables. Documents process and results.
  • Provides JDE production support, including researching and resolving ERP problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performs scheduled activities; recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Identifies and understands issues, problems and opportunities across all HR systems. Compares data from different sources to understand issues and opportunities and develop solutions. Uses effective and efficient approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions. Takes action that is consistent with known technology. Uses this data to build project plans and ensure adherence to schedule and other specifications. Utilizes interpersonal skills when working with various customers and peers to accomplish project goals. Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
  • Generates reports/queries, including writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains end users on new processes/functionality as well as training new HRIS system administrators and HR managers.
  • Maintains awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examines trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Continuous focus on increasing HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge.

 Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Information Management or Human Resources or related field  
  • Minimum 5 years of HRIS experience; at least 2 years’ experience in a senior level role
  • JDE HR/Payroll module set up/implementation (or similar ERP) experience required
  • HRCI and/or SHRM certification(s); Master degree a plus; Project Management Professional (PMP®) a plus
  • JDE experience preferred
  • Microsoft Excel super user – advanced formula knowledge for summarizing and reporting data, and merging multiple reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimal travel required
